Last Tuesday, three students,
represented our high school by competing in the STAR Events for our district FCCLA.
FCCLA - Family, Career, Community Leaders of America
A student organization with the emphasis being on leadership with the focus on family.
This young lady was the one who orchestrated our Pink Pride day back in October. She completed a professional portfolio and presented it to a group of judges.
She came away with a Silver medal and 2nd place, which qualifies her to represent our school at the state FCCLA conference in April.
The two young ladies below, competed in the Chapter Showcase Manual. They put together a professional portfolio of our FCCLA activities for the year. They also won a Silver Medal and came in First Place, so they too, will be attending the State FCCLA conference in Nashville.
I am so blown away by their creativity and desire to grow as leaders. These projects involved many hours of planning, organizing and developing a manual that would meet very specific criteria that was judge by strangers. Not an easy task!

Unfortunately, I don't have a photo from the day, of the "man" behind the scene. My very handsome DH came to school one afternoon and coached the students in public speaking and was there to offer final advise on Tuesday morning. He also deserves a "medal" - a kiss for sure. :0)
I am one PROUD Advisor and wife!
XOXO
Theresa
